Déjà Vu Vintage House and Monroe Theatre is situated in Marsh street, the main road of Mossel Bay leading towards the Point. Established in 2007 in a historical sandstone building bluit in 1902, this special place offers both locals and tourists a unique experience straight from of the vintage era. Preserving the style of yesteryear, Vintage House consists of two interdependent departments.

Vintage Clothing and Accessories Rentals Mossel Bay

Déjà Vu Vintage Clothing and Accessories boasts a vast range of vintage clothing and accessories dating from the 1920’s to date. This includes a large selection of close to 300 vintage hats. Despite negativity surrounding the fur trade, we are rather proud of our selection of fur coats, shawls and capes. Period and traditional costumes are also available as well as a range of vintage wedding dresses. In 2011, a selection of 250 children’s dress up costumes were acquired. Vintage outfits are popular for photo shoots especially for models’ portfolios, during which we often do styling. Popular for themed events during all seasons, let us provide you for the perfect outfit to rent. Vintage photo shoots are also extremely done on the premises by appointment.

Theatre in Mossel Bay, Garden Route

The Monroe Theatre is a truly unique concept in Mossel Bay, offering a nostalgic escape from everyday life. As a registered movie theatre, classic films from yesteryear and art house movies are screened weekly or by appointment for special occasions such as birthdays, anniversaries or yearend events. Live theatre and cabaret shows are also staged in this intimate little theatre seating a maximum of 30 people. Our famous Vintage High Tea events are also hosted in the Monroe Theatre, which operates as a tea room during the day. Déjà vu Vintage House also boasts a vast selection of old books, magazines and prints, as well as vintage crockery and other hard to come by antique décor items.

Our Tea Room, operating from the Monroe Theatre creates the ideal vintage atmosphere for tea parties. Home of the Original Vintage High Tea, during which cream tea is served (scones, with preserves and clotted cream) offers the opportunity for guests to dress appropriately in selected items of our vast range of vintage attire. The Vintage High Tea is ideal venue for baby showers, kitchen teas, birthday parties and a range of other special events Déjà Vu Vintage House offers a unique, nostalgic experience, beckoning you to come inside, step back in time and encounter the romanticism of yesteryear.
