All the proceeds of the ticket sales go to the 4 Safe Havens in the Southern Cape which are part of the project. These much needed funds will be used to better the lives of these battered women and children and to try to up lift their spirits. This “heart “ of the project is what it is all about and this is where you can help.The costs involved to host such an Extravaganza are phenomenal. All the proceeds from ticket sales are given to these Safe Havens. The money needed to fund it all is generated from Sponsor’s and Organization who dig deep into their pockets – see the list of sponsors below.
Brumilda van Rensburg and Mr. South Africa Dieter Voigt
Two of the countries pretty people, Brumilda van Rensburg (Louwna of Egoli fame) and Mr. South Africa Dieter Voigt who is a presenter of Pasella will be the Masters of Ceremonies.Top artists form part of the Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo Gala Evening
Top artists like Tobie Jooste, George Longane (previously Dr. Victor) On Que and Jill Middelkop (Ex Shine 4 and Egoli) form part of the Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo Gala Evening. These artists believe in the project and most of them also offered their services at a lower fee to help keep the costs down.Jill Middelkop was also involved in last year’s project and she wrote the song “Earth Angels” which will be launched at the Gala Evening. The proceeds from the CD sales will be donated to the project.
Another important role player is Natasha Sutherland, actress, writer and ex wife of a superstar. She and her “Big Heart Foundation” empower abused women and form part of the plan to visit these havens and to encourage them to better their self image. Natasha will be available after the event on Saturday for autographs and chats.
Designers from the Southern Cape
The 12 finalists will wear last year’s winning designer Wilmari de Jager’s designs, as well as designs of 6 other designers from the Southern Cape. The winning designer for this year will be announced at the Event. Isabel Niehaus a well known Fashion Editor will be the head Judge.Miss Garden Route & Klein Karoo
